COULD THIS BE LOVE?

"I will never stop loving you" Helen said as she lay on her bed ruminating on the awesome moment she had with Tom, her boyfriend earlier that week. As she was still in thought, her phone rang. On Picking the call, the sonorous voice of Tom was heard. He said '' Hello love, I've been sitting here thinking of how much I enjoyed our last moment together and how much I can't wait for the next, Your voice is so sweet and I could stay awake all night long just to hear you speak, your lips are like the honeycomb, when we kissed , honey and milk flowed out of your lips into me and every time I look into your eyes, I see the reflection of my soul, you leave me breathless every single moment I hold you, but I thirst for more of your touch, I crave for more of your embrace, I want your intimacy, I want to be caught in the web of your love, I want to be more into you, I wanna prove my love further to you if only you will allow me''

On hearing all these, Helen could barely say a word as she was lost in the fantasy land. Tom's alluring words had penetrated deep into her soul that she said '' I can't also wait to experience the pool of your love''.

Helen was yet to recover from the Paradise Tom's word took her into, even after the call. It's been a while since she had been in relationship with Tom but now she wanted more from the relationship, She longed to enter into the Realms of Love, Tom described to her. She was Willing to give herself to him, she was highly consummated by love. She was willing to let go of the promise she made to herself to keep herself till her wedding night just for Tom's love. She felt if she did not willingly give her body to Tom, it will be a Betrayal of his love for her.

BUT COULD THIS BE LOVE???

Have you ever wondered what it means to be in love?

We are bombarded today with movies, videos and romance novels that gives us a false image of what it means  " to love". If you think about it, most secular songs and movies all say the same thing in different ways that, " love is an amacrazing feeling at the moment two people stare into each other's eyes and are attracted to each other".
But this is not love, it is infatuation. Although infatuation is a normal response to attraction, it should never be mistaken  for love.

So where does attraction, desire, arousal, passion and sex fit in?
Are these love?
Capital NO.

They are simply the natural feelings that come about between human beings  for the purpose of procreation which should only be expressed and enjoyed when a strong foundation of biblical love has been established through marriage commitment.

Until that happens, the participants of these activities are said to be involved in the act of fornication which God warns us against in I Corinthians 6:18 "flee fornication. Every sin that  a man doeth is without the body; but he that committed fornication sinneth against his own body".

Most women actually believe that the lust of a man is love: his  constant stares, his compliments , his touch and his desire to have sex with her. This is not love because sex cannot be the determining factor for love, if so, prostitutes would not have been left by the men who had sex with them. This is Lust.

Lust is a terrible thing because it is the direct opposite of love(which is selflessness). A man in lust is searching to relieve himself at some woman's expense. He is searching to quench the thirst in his soul(which can only be filled by God) by using sex. Don't mistake His lust desire as love. It is selfishness.

      ''even if he is crazy in love with you does not give Him the license to your body outside holy wedlock. You are not his sex doll''.
  
      ''don't be tricked, if he really loves you, he would respect your Dignity, Virtues and Body and patiently wait for you till your wedding night''.

       ''because you are deeply in love with him does not mean that you will give yourself to him or throw yourself at him before marriage''.

  . love is not just attraction
  . love is not money
  . love is not having sex
  . love is not just romance
  . love is Jesus Christ
  . God is love

No man can truly understand or express love truly if God is not In them. They can't find it on the horizontal because it comes from Above, FROM GOD. Our model for what loving someone should look like is found in God's word, which teaches us that TRUE LOVE SUFFERS LONG, IS KIND, DOES NOT ENVY, DOES NOT PARADE ITSELF, IS NOT PUFFED UP, DOES NOT BEHAVE RUDELY, IS NOT PROVOKED, THINKS NO EVIL, REJOICES ONLY IN THE TRUTH, BEARS ALL THINGS, HOPES ALL THINGS, ENDURES ALL THINGS.(1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

True love is never Toxic and it never dies!!!

    This is great my sister. God bless u. More grace. Just to comment on these, an un-regenerated man cannot love. LOVE - CHRIST = LUST. A man cannot give what he does not have. So for a man to truly love, he must be in partnership with LOVE personified (Jesus Christ). Such should give his/her life to Jesus for a RE-GENENING.
