THEN WHERE IS THE HELP ????

Ohhh no! It happened again. But why? But why? She shrieked. Her eyes were filled as she moved close to the door. She peeped through the small opening then paced back to the front of the window. “I just hope no one saw me. I don’t want to do these anymore but I can’t just stop, I can't stop, I have tried all means, I’ve prayed a million times, seems God has just decided to shut the door of heaven on all my prayers and effort.  She looked toward her bedside, the sight of her discharge on the dildo disgusted her, then she turned towards the other corner, there, she sighted her old-skinned bible. She looked away at first but then, just like a magnet, she was attracted to the so called “holy book”. She moved to where it lies, picked it up and flipped through the pages not knowing exactly where to open. Her hands froze on getting to page 564 as she was glued to the prints which reads, “my help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth”. She paused, then, whispered in tears, “if my help is from this Lord, then where is it? why have I not gotten it? why has he decided to go so cold on my matter? Or am I not his own?”

Dear, some believers still find themselves in a similar scenario as above. After so much struggle, they end up believing and confessing that no godly intervention could change who or what they are doing and that everyone is just pretending; that, no one including believers could really be free from addictions. HOW TRUE IS THIS TRUE??

*sighs*

Well, I know assuredly that the help they are seeking is in CHRIST JESUS. He is the source to total freedom, so, if you are yet to truly encounter Him. Repent and turn to Him now.

And if you have encountered him, great! Don’t feel condemned or ostracized (Romans 8:1,2) because you are still struggling with those addictions instead REJOICE, CELEBRATE ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Weird right?๐Ÿ˜ณ You are thinking, ‘does she even know what she is saying?’. “Why would I be rejoicing in what is a pain to me?”

You are not celebrating your own weakness, rather, you are basking in the VICTORY Jesus has given to you (2 Corinthians 12:9). Remember, He said, “It is FINISHED”...*shouts halleluyah*  now I’m sounding like a preacher abi. lol๐Ÿ˜‚

See ehn, it is not until the angels or Baba God appear to you in the dream or vision, then taps your head, pour anointing oil and say in sweet baritone/tiny voice, “my son/daughter, I have taken away this addiction” before you are finally liberated. Ghen ghen!! i dey shake table abi, in fact, na on top me sef dey but I go still shake am   *laughs and adjusts chair*. Well, it can happen that way oo coz our GOD is not stereotyped. His ways and acts are diverse.

But all I mean to say is that the freedom is already given, you RECEIVE it. If God can deliver you from other evils, don’t you think this addictions/emotions/feelings/hormones is a no big deal for him. Remember, His name is above all other names. Halleluyah.
You have to activate faith to fully receive what you have received (be intentional). And how do you do that?๐Ÿคท

Don’t focus on the addiction: What you focus your attention on, grows. When you focus on the addictions, you are giving it attention, then it becomes a struggle. Instead, Focus on Christ...“don’t be sin conscious but be Son conscious”.

Get to the origin/cause of it and Remove it: Before something becomes an addiction, there was always a first time trial. So, self- reflect and look out for those triggers, burn the bridge to it, that is, delete/block/flee from any movie/magazine/site/person that has the tendency to arouse those interests/thoughts in you.

Plant Truth: Saturate yourself with the truth of God’s word. Don’t accept what God has not said about you. Confront those triggers/feelings anytime they come with the word of God. Remember, "and you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free''. Celebrate your victory with the affirmed words of Christ. SPEAK IT OUT.

I (the 'me' writing this๐Ÿ˜‰) used to be a porn addict but glory to God who delivered me through Jesus Christ, my Lord.  BUT does that mean there are not still triggers/temptations to go back into it. Hell Heavy NO.

There will always be temptations  for as long as we are in this mortal body. But, we as believers glory in the Strength made manifest in us through Christ to overcome all those wiles. Also, we must continue to choose Him (Holy Spirit) always over every fleshy desires/thoughts.

Thanks so much for reading (the length though๐Ÿ˜ฉ). I'll love to hear your view/story too. Pleaseeee share in the comment box below๐Ÿค—.

Plentiiii Love๐Ÿ’–,
